Health and Safety Policy

The Assist Group of Companies, including Assist Security Group Limited, Assist Security Retail Limited, and Assist Security Limited, is committed to providing and maintaining a safe work environment and without health risks. The goal is to ensure safe working conditions, safe systems of work, and premises, alongside adequate facilities, equipment, information, training, and supervision. We commit to full compliance with statutory requirements and other applicable legislation through continuous improvement and dedication of sufficient resources.

Framework for Health & Safety Management
The Group operates under a Health & Safety management system aligned with BS EN ISO 45001:2018 standards. Recognizing the necessity to control workplace hazards and risks inherent to the nature of our business, we will continually develop and refine our processes and operating conditions to enhance protection for employees, visitors, and other stakeholders.

Continual Improvement and Performance Metrics
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, the Group sets measurable health and safety targets and objectives, derived from comprehensive Risk Assessments. These objectives aim to enhance safety performance and are reviewed periodically to adapt to new challenges and legislative changes.

Training and Competence
All employees of the Group undergo induction and receive ongoing refresher training as per our structured training plan and policy. This training ensures that all team members are competent and aware of their roles in maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities and Employee Engagement
The Group Managing Director has appointed a Senior Management Team (SMT) member (Appointed Director) to oversee daily Health & Safety responsibilities. However, all employees are expected to cooperate with this initiative and actively participate in the management and maintenance of our Health & Safety systems. Employees must take responsibility for their own health and safety and that of others under their supervision and control. All staff are required to formally report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or health and safety concerns immediately. We will investigate incidents thoroughly to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Health and Safety Responsibility Statement
Our Health and Safety Responsibility Statement is comprehensive, reflecting the requirements and responsibilities as outlined in ISO 45001:2018, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. This document is a crucial part of our Health & Safety framework, ensuring clarity and accountability across all levels of the organisation.

Communication and Review
This Health & Safety Policy is communicated to all employees and is accessible to the public. It undergoes regular reviews by senior management to ensure its relevance and effectiveness, adapting as necessary to reflect changes in the regulatory landscape or our operational practices.

Conclusion
The Assist Group of Companies remains dedicated to advancing our health and safety standards, fostering an organizational culture that prioritizes well-being and safety at its core.
